This coconut psyllium flatbread is soft, tender, with light coconut flavor. It's not only vegan and gluten-free, but it's also paleo and keto friendly. I usually serve it alongside Indian dishes, but it's also perfect as a low-carb tortilla or wrap.

Great recipe and alternative for grain-free tortillas! You made my day, Petra! 🌷

  • Marina Miranda says:

Petra, you’re outstanding as always. I’ve been looking for something like that for such a long time. Something unprocessed, gluten-free, and having most of the ingredients on hand now.

  • Runęhkwáʔčhęʔ Duane Brayboy says:

I had previously intended to cook another recipe for wraps today, but thankfully, you have changed my mind. This recipe is exactly what I have been looking for. I have prepared quite a few of your delicious recipes and they have been loved by all. I am grateful to you that you share your knowledge with the world.

    • Runęhkwáʔčhęʔ Duane Brayboy says:

@NutritionRefined This recipe was amazing! I cooked an Indian dish (gobi masala) and your flatbread recipe was a delicious, viable alternative to traditional naan. Thank you Petra!

  • Anna M says:

I made them for lunch today and they turned out pretty good! I served them with a coconut tomato curry but even with nut butter and marmalade they were so delicious! Thanks for your amazing recipes 🙂

  • caramimi says:

I love these flatbreads, I make them often. They help me get through my bread cravings, and I love making sandwich wraps out of them. Psyllium is also great for digestion, too.

    • Cheryl says:

I am new and learning – I’m anxious to try these – is psyllium a flour ? Or what’s the best to purchase

    • caramimi says:

@Cheryl Psyllium is a plant fiber. It’s like metamucil without the flavor. You can order online, or check your local Whole Foods or grocery store. I’ve also found it at Fred Meyer/Kroger in the bulk spice section.

    • Cheryl says:

@caramimi is it something I have to “prepare” or is it bought as is so to speak – and THANK YOU for responding -(learning slowly here)

    • caramimi says:

@Cheryl You can buy it. Check Amazon or Google shopping for examples of it, or go to a local supplement store, like GNC, to see if they sell it. It’s often labeled Psyllium Husk Fiber. Bob’s Red Mills makes it, I believe.

I am both anxious and hesitant to try these … anxious, because I really miss having a sandwich or wrap at lunch … but hesitant because of the psyllium husk powder … I suffer from IBS-D and am wondering if the psyllium husk powder will exacerbate that. Has anyone noticed any problems with that ingredient?

  • Nonies Nook says:

These were so good and easy to make! Thank you thank you thank you! Finally a gluten free tortilla that doesn’t fall apart. I would say that you could definitely taste the coconut at first, but it went away right away. A winner! =)

  • Lisa de Kramer says:

OMG These are fabulous. Tip, I put the Psyllium husks in a coffee grinder, turned it into a fine powder. Not grainy texture.

  • Amani Elhusseini says:

I made 9 flatbreads out of this recipe (rolled them put extra thin) and they still turned out perfect! Personally i wasn’t too fond of the strong coconut taste and might experiment with spices/other flours to reduce it but thats just me!

  • mysugarplumcottage says:

Thank you SO MUCH for your quiet soothing music for the background. I tire of others loud music that ruins their videos. Yours relaxes and enhances. And I’ll be making this recipe for sure! I’m very anxious to actually, as I got a tortilla press, although your wooden roller looks impressive, and I love how your rounded off each tortilla with a plate! Very clever!

  • Adhnan Ahamed says:

Came here for the recipe, stayed for the calm, soothing music and amazing voice over!

  • Cheryl De-Zilva says:

I’ve made this twice, doubled the recipe and got 13 tortillas out of it. Even better when it cools down. I add some cumin, powder, garlic powder and chilli 🌶 flakes and it is amazing! It’s great for lunches as a wrap or for soft 🌮 tacos, thanks for an easy recipe that is my go to now!

  • Tammie Hammett says:

If you’re low carb and have been frustrated with gross eggy tortilla substitutes, look no further. This is amazing and will satisfy the need to wrap stuff up and eat it like you used to. Add herbs for even more flavor. Thanks! This is going in my recipe book!

  • Tatiana Ramos says:

I added 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar and 1 tsp of Italian seasoning and the flavor is amazing! Great recipe. Thank you.

  • Angela Bell - Personal says:

Didn’t realize coconut naan could be so moist and tasty. Great recipe, and so simple!

  • Monica Ferreira says:

I just wanted to say that these tortillas are amazing and super easy to make. Thank you!

  • melhunter says:

Coming from a vegan on keto… This has just won the internet, IMO! These were absolutely perfect! First bread based recipe I have tried out that actually worked perfectly. I also used psyllium husk powder rather than whole. No grainy texture at all! 🥙🍃♥️🤯

  • Adriana L says:

I made this wraps yesterday and they turned out great. I used baking power as instructed in the website not baking soda as mentioned in the video. My wraps did shrink a little while cooking and they looked a little purple but they were very soft and flexible for wraps. You can taste the coconut flour. I suggest adding some onion powder or any other flavor you enjoy. Of course once you fill your wrap with hummus and your desire veggies you are good to go. I like them. I will continue making them!😋

  • Flames of Stargaze says:

Yo! I tried your recipe, but I swapped oil and water with yogurt and egg whites. Add some other seasoning (Trader Joe’s everyday seasoning and black pepper)…It turned out freaking good!!!! I finally find a delicious protein tortilla recipe!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jennifer Gumban says:

Tried this recipe using coconut oil. Love!!! I enjoyed my Bhindi Masala and can’t wait to use this for quesadilla and more!
