Deep belly fat, or visceral fat, that is stored around the abdominal organs is linked to significant health risks, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers. One proven strategy for reducing belly fat is to boost your intake of polyphenols. This video shares how polyphenols help to reduce belly fat and the low-carb foods that contain them.

I have learned to eat mushrooms and their amazing healthy benefits.
I never knew mushrooms could look like steak or fried chicken. 😋

  • @JennWatson says:

Our food system is corrupted with ultra processed foods, seed oils, sugar and preservatives.
I’m staying away from all that with single ingredient whole foods I prepare at home.
    I’m 64 down 100 lbs!

    • @beckygillaspy says:

      Wonderful! Congratulations, Jenn!

It’s not only corrupt but enhanced by “natural flavors”. Google it. In short these man made flavors stimulate your brain and you cannot eat enough of that food. Think potatoe chips or smelling a cinnamon bun store at the mall. I have been a total carnivore for 2 years. Yes it was not easy. But no more diabetes or high cholesterol and blood pressure. However I still grave fries pizza bread etc like a crack addict. Good luck on your journey. It’s tough but the results for your health are fabulous. Stay the course.

Add rich, dark, organic Cacao to any smoothie.
I make a delicious smoothie with just stevia, a splash of heavy whipping cream, shot of espresso, a scoop of protein powder, a scoop of essential amino acids, and some almond milk. I add ice and blend in a blender. So very delicious

    • @brischmick says:

Have you found a good protein powder? Smoothie sounds delicious!

    • @carolschneider1404 says:

@@brischmick I use the Body Health Perfect Amino in the mocha flavor which has the equivalent of 15 grams of meat protein. I also put a scoop of Orgain organic Keto Collagen in either vanilla or chocolate. Sometimes I add a few frozen organic sliced strawberries from Costco
Oh, and I use the TerraSoul organic Cacao Powder

  • @ld845 says:

Alter Eco chocolate is great! 85% or 90% I love and low in sugar.

  • @JoseLopez-hp5oo says:

I was unsure about the effects of a low carb , high fat diet as I had high cholesterol to begin with. After loosing over 40 lbs, recent blood tests indicate normal levels for everything the Dr measured! Some on high normal, but to be the green for the first time in years. Eggs and cheese every day and those levels got better! Like mind blown, totally opposite to how I understood things to work.

I tried the low carb diet for a few months, and I did lose some weight, but I developed Gout from all the meat I was eating. I stopped the diet, and the Gout went away. Is it possible to go low carb without eating meat, and still lose weight?

    Thank you, Dr. Becky. ❤

  • @Laurie-BHFANDF says:

Hi Dr. Becky! Great info! Can you suggest some tasty keto friendly smoothies that utilize polyphenols? Also, can apples be eaten on keto plan, or do they use up too many carbs?
