Risks and Benefits of Nicotinamide (NAM), a NAD+ Booster
The metabolism of NAM may deplete our methylation capacity, interfering with the normal metabolism of hormones and neurotransmitters, and produce a neurotoxic compound in the process.
For the DIY anti-wrinkle recipe, watch my presentation How Not to Age ( ).

So don’t take it?
This is a series basically saying Dr David Sinclair is full of it…
I’ve been taking NAM for the last 6 years at 500mg twice a day. I did so as a cheap alternative to NMN and NR. I will note that a single (1 big dose a day) dose of any of the three B3 compounds has been found to be ineffective. I learned this from the Australian study on NAM and skin cancer. I have seen the studies on the effectiveness (or lack of) of NR, NMN,NAM and have assumed that most of the studies that do show it to be ineffective are because they are single daily doses. I have also periodically been taking TMG so I’m getting all the Methyl groups I need to cover the NAM doses. Am I still going to suffer the negative side effects? which I don’t think have manifested, I feel good and have plenty of energy, I also live in Australia and go to the beach daily during summer – I’m a redhead so I am very fair skinned and need that extra protection from the sun and skin cancer. Thoughts?
I saw the previous NAM video which showed that it decreased skin cancer. The question is does those benefits outweigh the risks presented in this video? Or is it a matter of getting the right dosage/timing/combination?
