idk I don’t think thin women should eat like that either… mostly just because it seems unhealthy.

    • @kiwiequis4144 says:

If it’s about health no human should eat like that. Idk why you’re being sexist but go off, queen.

    • @emmy_grace says:

@ well yes. Obviously not just women. It was in the context of the video

    • @pinkdrinkdeleted8144 says:

yeah the wieiad doesn’t look very balanced, but the point of the video is more so that thin girls can eat unhealthily and people wont care but if fat girls do the same people care way more

  • @katiegarces says:

Ugh this is so true. I used to be the cute ‘loves cookies’ girl, gained a few work-from-home pounds … and now I’m the ‘don’t you know sugar is bad for you?’ woman.

  • @KR-mx4nt says:

@abbeysharp If you’re going to say that stuff then as a registered dietician you should caveat it with the actual, whether we like it or not, facts about the dangers of being BMI overweight or obese, which ive been through myself and was told to lose weight by an MD, my cardiologist, such as being at high risk for things like high cholesterol, high blood pressure and the really dangerous things that come with those, diabetes, and so many more very dangerous conditions, sleep apnea, which can be fatal, even all the way to osteoarthritis. I really think youre sending out dangerous messages by not being realistic and following what actual medical doctors recommend by just ignoring it and saying its ok to be BMI overweight or obese, I know from personal experience no matter how pretty I looked its actually very dangerous, I have high blood pressure, pre diabetes, high cholesterol, and so much more. why are we blinding ourselves to medical facts just to be what’s considered politically correct?

    • @1button.s123 says:

Hi! I think you might have misunderstood the point of the video? She’s mostly talking about the incorrect assumption that tin = healthy and fat = unhealthy. Obviously what you went through is very real and it is an actual concern, but people can’t know someone’s medical history by the way they look. Maybe checking out her long form videos would be more helpful? There isn’t a lot of info you can put in shorts and her videos go more in depth. Have a nice day :]

    • @kiwiequis4144 says:

Hi! BMI is bullshit and comes from a guy who loved to make algorithms in the 1800s. He was not a medical doctor in any shape or form and it is so wildly inaccurate that the best athletes on the planet are morbidly obese. Please stop buying into the bullshit rhetoric that BMI carries any validity in health, because it doesn’t.

My BMI shows I’m VERY obese but I am an athlete in TWO sports with THREE jobs, and have so much muscle that the calculation DOES NOT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION. BMI needs to die and rest with its creator.

    • @KR-mx4nt says:

@@1button.s123 No I know exactly what she was saying and I have seen most of her videos and shorts. I think she over generalizes and leans too far too one side most of the time so that is partly what I was addressing. I don’t think she gives enough of the real picture which I think is needed even in a short video.

    • @dopex89 says:

@@KR-mx4nt a lot of issues are correlated with high BMI, but same goes for eating processed food like that. If we’re calling out only fat people that don’t eat an unbalanced diet, and in a rude way to top it of, who is it helping? Have you seen the comments under the videos of any overweight person doing anything? They get judged to hell and back whatever they do, even if they’re working out. The point of the video is to call out that bias because if this girl was fat, I bet you 90% of the comments would be calling her disgustiing.

This is way different from a medical professional advising you to lose weight. They will always do that but may not check your BP or cholesterol if you’re thin. Which hurts the thin person btw! I’ve had friends with such issues that were disregarded for way too long because they were thin and “looked healthy”. So it goes both ways, and again, benefits no one.

  • @karenmccracken says:

Unfortunately, fat shaming, bullying over body size (small or large) is even more prevalent due to social media.

  • @Bshell1502 says:

i like most of Abby’s videos & am a long time subscriber, this however seems like pandering to the HAES community.

    • @cityofnumbersix says:

It’s not really pandering if it’s a valid point, though.

    • @Bshell1502 says:

      @ but it isn’t though

    • @cityofnumbersix says:

@@Bshell1502 irregardless of the fact that this sort of diet when maintained regularly rather than occasionally as part of a balanced diet is not great for anyone, it is plenty true that people in thinner bodies are given far more leeway by the general populous than people in larger bodies. You can check any comment section for the proof, so Abby is stating facts here. She’s not saying eating this way is healthy for anyone, she’s merely pointing out the fact that a great many people simply have reflect a different attitude towards these things dependant on the body behind the video, which is true.

    • @Bshell1502 says:

@ you’re watching a completely different video thank i am apparently

    • @cityofnumbersix says:

@@Bshell1502 I don’t see how, this is exactly what she’s commenting on in the video? What are you watching?

  • @AliciaMajo says:

I got lectured at in the comment section because I dared to say that I was finally able to fight back against my eating disorder when it tries to make me feel bad about eating chips and pasta, the person couldn’t even see what I looked like, and I said that I had an ED, so idk what could possess someone to say that it’s normal to feel bad about such an unhealthy meal.
So I just tried to gently redirect them, explaining that even if they didn’t mean any harm with those words, it could still harm someone (especially if they have an ED).
Overall people shouldn’t judge and comment on what you eat like that.

  • @JChan-ru2hf says:

My favorite is when someone is fat shaming in the common section- but I know them and they are big as a house and have zero right talking to anyone about calories or size

  • @goodi2shooz says:

One of my biggest pet peeves right now, I watched 2 cooking content creators one of them is “thin and pretty” and has very questionable hygiene and cooking skills and the other 1 is what society considers overweight and is a good cook.. The thin woman gets less hate for her questionable hygiene practices in the kitchen then the other woman gets for cooking good food.
