I have always dealt with acne and acne scars. But when I started fasting and lost 20 pounds, my skin cleared and became even more toned.
I am taking a week break from fasting, and I cannot wait until I come back to fasting again. I still have 15 pounds until my next goal weight and 35 pounds until my ultimate goal weight.

pr Pinto different people have different skins so I don’t know if it will take away the acne scars for you, but I don’t really have fungal acne which is a bit different than regular acne

I’ve been doing periods of fasting for 4.5 days and I feel like that’s a sweet spot! Basically I fast from Sunday evening to Friday morning. I do have an identical twin so I’m have to compare our skin.

Be careful when fasting, everyones body reacts differently. Some people; not most, get very sick trying to get to autophagy which starts around 16hrs+ after your last meal and maximizing around the 24hr mark.
I feel awesome when I fast 18 hours. But it wasnt so six months ago. I felt so hungry and furious that I was related as “la cabrona”. ) But I began to eat a lot of Butter , Olivé and coconut oil and I do not fast hsppily ever after. I am still “la cabrona” because people don’t forget so easily

Well that all depends upon so many things. Like was the person in question already in ketosis? Are they fat adapted? Are they overweight or very lean? Was their electrolytes off? Often times, that transition state feels worse when you are transitioning from a carb fueled state into ketosis. You’re blood glucose will drop below 70 or 80 while your ketones starts to grow. That’s when you’ll feel the worst. Then when your body is full transitioned, you’ll get out of that feeling. Often, giving yourself electrolytes will help.
It’s common because you aren’t adapted yet that’s why you feel most side effects then later it will pass due being adapted to fasting.

Last year, I had multiple scars all over my upper body. Particularly, there was an extremely visible Long scar on the right side of my neck. I did 20hr intermittent fasts, everyday, for 6 consecutive months. After which Literally ALL the scars have disappeared. Autophagy, Autolysis and Apoptosis are truely amazing tools we could use : )

Amazing manifestation of autophagy I recently observed during a 5 day fast…..I had badly pinched my little finger a few weeks before, and the nail was completely black from the dried blood beneath the nail. From about day 2, it began to lighten, until it is now white. I hadn’t relieved the pressure after the accident, so this existed in an entirely sealed environment….. The nail isn’t connected to the tissue beneath, and will be lost as the new nail forms, but the dried blood is entirely gone. I had done a 3 day fast, one eating day, followed by a 5 day, which ended with me being 13 days into an annual series that will total around 50 days this year. This is for heart and other health, and to achieve a weight target of 145, which I will not try to maintain closely, as I intend to settle into an annual fasting routine of at least 20 total days each year for autophagy, and that requires room for some loss each year…….Does this make sense to you? I achieved ALL of my immediate goals on last year’s fasts..

Ive been doing 20/4 intermittent fasting since 01.01.2020 and so far im down -17lbs in 19 days. 🙂 and i feel great, almost no hunger too. Incredible stuff!

I have a question. Can you take excedrin, or other headache medication while fasting? I’ve tried starting multiple fasting attempts, and I CAN overcome the hunger pangs, but the caffeine-related headaches can be excruciating (even in the early hours of the fast). I really want to initiate autophagy to clear out my system, so I don’t want to put more toxins in my body with medicine, but I feel like I need some type of pharmaceutical pain relief, at least initially. Thanks, guys!
I would recommend that you wean yourself slowly off caffeine as you learn to fast. Coffee does not break your fast as long as you drink it black. Don’t drink more than a cup a day and slowly reduce your consumption everyday until you feel your headaches are gone.
Yes, you can take asprin.
I found a good solution for this is those 5 hour energy shots. They are loaded with caffeine and B-12 so you get rid of that headache without the soda.

Very interesting calculation for Autophagy, though strange, I am skinny, and per it, I am constantly in mTOR mode with no Autophagy or AMPK. My lowest # comes to 10.5 (which is over 9)
Just means you’re not in ketosis. Most people aren’t
can definietly confirm, i had massive health issues prediabeetes as well, and during 3 days water fast starting from 2nd day my skin would allready look alot better, i have/had psoriasis(overproduction of skin) and that would go down drasticly during 2nd/3rd day

Did water fasting for 7 days.
Finished and refed then went into omad. Omad day 1, ketone is 5.7 and glucose 3.7. I’m working and functioning well. My GKI is 0.65 😃😃😃
And I’m not hungry, now growling of my intestines from hunger.
I feel like I can keep fasting for dagsssss
