I believe I’ve heard Dr. Barnard say before that the benefits of cinnamon extend to the Ceylon variety more so than the more common cassia variety.
Eating some turmeric cinnamon oatmeal as I watch … should I add cayenne pepper to really ratchet up the GLP-1 stimulation?

I harvested fresh turmeric from my yard, started using 1:1 ratio of freshly grated turmeric to ginger ratio for my milk black tea.
I also splash in some other spices when i see that the morning is cold.
It tastes so much better than the dried powder of Turmeric, plus I know what I am consuming is purely organic.
One additional word of caution,
Try to avoid spices that come from Indian Subcontinent, they have very high heavy metals from lead to mercury and many of the powders sold by top brands in India were banned by Singapore since they had carcinogens that were more than 1000 times the lowest traceable dose.
YouTuber Dhruv Rathee made a video on it, guess what? The recalled spices were sold in India at heavy discounts.

Cumin seeds of Everest at 2:56 is paced with ethylene oxide/dioxide and other potential carcinogens, stay off of Indian spice brands (as well as that from Pakistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh)
