i accidentally did omad in 2018 and i dropped about 30 pounds in two months. i might have to try it again bc this counting calories stuff is not working 😭

    • @Cutie222222 says:

like i’ll be mindful about calories obvs but yeah. the small meals just aren’t working for my body

$44.99 for your e-book is a little steep for me at this point. Your recipes have always been fantastic, & I see this is a step by step weight loss plan plus 31 recipes. I’m retired now and live off $2,200/month so, as much as I’d like to, I can’t do it right now. Love your content ❀

    • @shannonpuckett6604 says:

I cannot believe she is asking this much for her e-book. How discouraging. Makes me look at her a lot more different

  • @sharonsediles8112 says:

Hi Mayra. Can you please go over the times you eat throughout the day if you do intermittent fasting? Thanks. I love your channel so much! ❀❀

  • @MiCocinitaMX says:

You should make a feast video like you said so we can see what we can eat for OMAD

  • @kristinewman8025 says:

Hi Mayra, for your intermittent fasting do you only drink water while fasting? Love your videos. So helpful!😊

  • @FH3MH says:

Thank you! I needed a reminder about intermittent fasting bc I don’t sleep thru the night anymore and I’ve been eating all day again… a vicious cycle πŸ™

    • @TransformInProgress says:

This used to be me. 😒. I truly emphasize with you. Try to force yourself to get up and go out in the morning sun for a 20 minute walk for 1 week. And force yourself to go to bed on time. This should help you reset. Also, HRT helps tremendously with sleeping thru the night! I no longer need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the of the night! ( what a blessing!) I hope this helps. ❀❀❀

For how long do u recommend to do intermittent fasting?

  • @tammyhie4438 says:

    What magnesium do you recommend?

Yess I will die on this hill!!! I have pcos and have had a loong and challenging journey in regards to weight loss and body inflammation….of course when i can be healthy i try to hit high protein goals fiber and all of the healthy stuff but I’m not perfect and def indulge sometimes. Fasting is something that makes me feel amazing..and if I’m going to be “bad” I try most times to do it earlier in the day + get lots of walking and water after and it helps a ton!!. I do anywhere from 14-24 hour fasts daily. Most days expect occasions here and there.

Since I found you I’ve been faithfully watching your videos old and new.
I’m starting ketosis & I’m diabetic with high b/p & high cholesterol. I just turned 57 this past April & I had to go on disability a yr after having a strokes. I tried to stay working but my job required having a good memory & lifting. I made good money. Disability floored me hard. Sorry I got off track.
How would someone like me do intermittent fasting?
I do follow a keto diet as much as my budget allows me. I do feel better physically, my stomach doesn’t feel so heavy.
Hopefully I can try all those yummy recipes of yours I’ve seen so far.
Thank you so much for sharing.

What time do you stop eating in the evening?

  • @ruthfranzen3277 says:

Thank you! This was wonderful information

  • @AmandaLovesHolidays says:

Please do a deeper video on fasting. im 11 months postpartum and I started fasting a few weeks ago and im FINALLY starting to feel results and the baby weight slowly come off. I started fasting because of another video you posted recently and literally it works well with my schedule as a new mom/full time working. THANKYOU

    • @AmandaLovesHolidays says:

Fasting as in, not eating from around 7:30pm – Noon daily.

    • @Elmendy85 says:

If you’re interested in deep fasting check out Dr Mindy Pelz she’s the author of fast like a girl, ive learnt soooo much from her 😊

    • @Coacheidy says:

Mom on postpartum here too! I gave birth just 2 weeks ago and already lost 25 pounds, 5 more and all my baby weight will be gone! Thanks to fasting, carnivore, but most importantly learning how to not let my emotions run the show (trust me, we need that during this time) ❀ good luck to you!

  • @dondeebb1379 says:

This is great advice! I am definitely gonna try the 24 hour fasting. I am going through perimenopause and I also have Hashimoto so it’s like a double whammy of things you could have that will prevent losing weight. It’s been so hard for me to lose any weight. I have been doing 16 hour fast. I cut down sugar, carbs, and I have lost
Some weight, but not as fast and not as much as I would like.

  • @Coacheidy says:

Just wanted to say thank you, your videos gave me the courage to start. I’m 2 weeks postpartum and already down 25 pounds (5 more and all the baby weight will be gone)! I’ve been doing fasting, carnivore, and something I work on myself is staying in tune with my emotions and it has made such a difference. (That part doesn’t get talked about enough during postpartum) So grateful for your honesty, seriously, it helped more than you know. ❀

As Muslims we optionally fast on Mondays and Thursdays because of the health benefits and rewards. ❀

  • @Wasadamata says:

Loved hearing this! πŸ’‘ I tried all the hacks too, but I still couldn’t get the scale to move. Then I read Eat like a Woman Protocol and something finally clicked. It wasn’t just fat lossβ€”it felt like my body reset completely ⚑️
