This channel is about healthy eating, not necessarily for weight loss, though many watch for that reason, as of course they’re related. πŸ™‚ You can still apply a lot of what she talks about though, nutrition is nutrition.

I’m definitely a shiritake noodle person, once I figured out how to make them. For me, noodles and pasta must be close to the original to make it worth it. If I eat noodles or pasta, they’re not just ad-ons, I make the dish with the intention of enjoying a pasta meal. For me, the pasta or noodles is a vital part of the dish, not a convenient vehicle for the sauce etc, so vegetables in the shape of noodles (like the zucchini or squash) won’t cut it. I can make zucchini and squash with the the same toppings and love them (and have), but for me, they aren’t a substitute. The dish is a different dish. Luckily I really enjoy shiritake!
Having said that, I do like zucchini noodles for western-style lasagne (I drain them of some of their liquid first), I think it works for western-style lasagne because there’s so much going on flavour and texture-wise anyway, you don’t really eat it for the pasta experience. πŸ™‚

  • MORE THAN CONQUERORS says:

Love the idea of sautΓ©ed cabbage with meatballs. I need to buy that vegetable more. I was hoping to see 10 things I do for Thanksgiving as a nutritionist. LOL πŸ¦ƒπŸ I will say I made cranberry sauce last night without the sugar for the first time. I sweetened with a little monk fruit afterwards. I’ll see how it turns out. I boiled the cranberries in 1/2 cup water, 1/2 c. ACV. Touch of cloves.
