Yep. Adkins: High protein, moderate healthy fats, and low-carb….but not crazy low-carb like keto is. That’s how I lost 50 lbs of BF and gained 10 lbs of muscle. Hell I lost the first 40 lbs in 7 months. And no I am NOT talking about Adkins products…..but in regards to macros, that’s what that is.
I’m on day 2 of the 21 day intermittent fasting program after completing the 7 day detox. I’m feeling SOOOOOO much better!! Sugar really had a chokehold on me and I had no idea how terrible it was making me feel on the daily! Loving your programs so far, so worth the money!!

Is there a max that you body can use at one sitting before converting to fat. Is it better to have 30 at lunch or 50 and more evenly distribute throughout the day?

Is there such a thing as eating *too much* protein?
47 yo female, weight 120, calculated about 90 lbs lean body mass….so aiming for 90g protein daily. Increasing my protein intake as a woman has been challenging, but I think I have adapted pretty well over last few weeks
Tracking macros with an app, some days I am over 100g protein for the day, just curious, is that a bad thing? If so, any guidance?
@@nancyphillips1761 100 g is not a bad thing. Different experts give different advice on how much protein to eat. The Glucose Goddess basically was advising 1 g of protein per pound of body weight. That’s a lot! She has a really detailed video about how much protein you need and the science behind what your body does with that protein …I think it’s about 22 minutes long

I have been utilizing your information, the Galveston diet and the Glucose Goddess to help me battle the effects of menopause. I have cut out most of the added sugars in my diet. Adding heavy cream or your suggestion of whipped cream to my morning coffee has really helped me get past the sugar hit first thing in the morning.
Adding more protein has really helped me with intermittent fasting. I have dropped the weight while increasing my fitness. Now, i am starting weight training to build my strength and muscle mass. Walking and weighted vest helped me with my initial weight loss/controlling the menopause symptoms, in addition to the protein.

Autumn, i never had a problem eating healthy until lockdown. I got caught up in the crazy new “avoiding ” food frenzy. Now, my eating is disordered.
Wait .. 100 grams of protein is only 3.5 ounces. That seems like very little protein. What am I missing?
