I really respect AEN but I have to say, this is annoying clickbait. Ultra processed foods is not a single food. Sorry but I feel like your videos aren’t as scientific or informative as they used to be. You’re such an inspiration so I hope you will delve more into the science and produce higher quality videos.
she posted all of the studies in the description, and there are literally tens of thousands more you can look up yourself. How much “science” do you really need saying doritos and frozen pizza are bad for you?
You misunderstand, but I respect your reply. I mean I wish she posted videos about more nutritional science – like insulin resistance, metabolic disorders – the things that happen as a result of processed foods. Like you said, we all know pizza and donuts are poison.

Good stuff, Autumn. I make my own protein bars at home because most if not all, commercial protein bars are filled with extra ingredients.
And the same goes for many other examples like you mentioned.

You should help this new administration especially RFK Jr. this is what he’s been talking about for awhile. I’m confident there will be a change in how our foods are made. If you look at the US verses Canada or the UK, the ingredients in the same foods are different. Ours being highly more filled with ingredients we don’t need or can’t pronounce. Sorry. Just my rant. I think the lack of home cooking is at the crux of the matter. People don’t have the skills, knowledge, time, or the patience to prepare wholesome, home-cooked meals. It’s really sad. We need to get back to prioritizing the basics of meal planning, prep, and cooking as non-negotiable aspects of daily life.
I know a retired woman in her 70’s. She told me that she doesn’t cook anymore, hardly has any dishes to do. I asked her why & she said that she has been eating all microwave meals since her husband’s passing 12 months prior. 2 weeks after our conversation she found herself in ER & told that she was deficient in many minerals & vitamins especially B12 which affected her heart, BP & cognitive thinking. They kept in hospital for several days. Basically, she was undernourished eating highly processed microwave meals for every meal, every day .
