The only time I eat corn is if it’s organically grown – nonGMO. It’s really hard to find foods that are not processed with corn oil honestly. And it definitely blows my stomach up.

  • Lynn Salberg says:

I don’t see any reason to reason to corn.

    • Autumn Bates says:

Ultimately if you choose to eat corn (not processed corn products) and get it organic/non-GMO then having it as the starch component of your meal isn’t a bad option. It’s not as great as non starchy veggies in terms of nutrient quality, but using it on the occasion (like Thanksgiving!) is still a better starch ingredient than other items like bread.

    • Lynn Salberg says:

@Autumn Bates true ! I only eat none starchy veggies and beef, chicken fish. High bp and hashimoto gone ! I think everyone’s different, and what foods are good for them but for me, I do very well with minimal carbs.

  • Country Cottage Contessa says:

Thank you! A lot of great info. In a short amount of time!!😊

  • REPPIN TIME FITNESS says:

    Lets eat 😋

  • Guylaine Lamoureux says:

My starchy food of choice these days is sweet potato, wonder how it compares to non-GMO corn on the glycemic index. 🤔 Time to look it up on your website. Love to see Sage doing a cameo in your vids. Thank you Autumn. 👍❤️🇨🇦

  • April May says:

Hard to digest, if have diverticulosis can become trapped and septic.

  • Ervin's Movie Corner says:

    Very nice job, Autumn!❤

  • Creggers says:

Corn is fine for people with celiac

    • Celtic Lass says:

Everyone is different. If you have celiac and are fine, or know someone with it who is fine, doesn’t mean everyone will be.

  • Celtic Lass says:

Other than frozen organic corn in the winter, the only time I eat a lot (relatively) of corn is in the summer, when it’s fresh and local. I’d much rather know where my corn comes from, considering the level of futzing corn has gone through over the past couple of decades. Questionable corn is like questionable meat and eggs–you can tell something unnatural has been done to it when you consume it.

  • Celtic Lass says:

One of the more important things to remember with corn, is that it isn’t a vegetable. SO many people treat it as a vegetable, and the micronutrient profile just isn’t the same.

  • Frisky Tendervittles says:

Our corn isn’t corn THATS the problem

  • Stephenie Weissinger says:

I see no reason to eat corn. 😂

  • AdeleB says:

Pop corn – any day! Corn on the cob – any day! – especially with butter 🙈 Since I discovered that I should steer clear of “white starch” I have turned to corn for the cravings… Must also add, that since I’ve followed Autumn’s “protein, fat and fiber” policy, the cravings are much fewer and further in between.

  • Sheri Rottweilersforever says:

It’s very bad for me since I’m actually allergic to it.

  • Kelly Gay says:

Interesting. I have stayed away from corn because it’s GMO and sprayed Product. …. But I do love popcorn a movie night!❤

  • 8991Craig says:

    Hooray!!!!! Thank You

  • Brenda Tuttle says:

Sorry. Not convinced it’s worth it. I will continue to stay away from corn as much as possible. Don’t need it.

  • DHJAY says:

Hi ma’am no disrespect at all intended to you. But I only saw one video of yours and now all your videos show up in my feed for days. How do I hide your channel or mute it? Again, no disrespect to you. I am sure you do good work.
