I’ve only tracked calories to lose weight in the past but now I’m tracking protein in addition to calories. I’ve never been overweight but I’m just trying to stop myself from becoming heavier as I get older. It’s so exhausting! I feel like I’m going to have to track for the rest of my life. I admire people who have been able to lose 100+ bc even at my lower weight it’s so hard to not give in to indulgences. I’m not low carb but your ideas still help me because a lot of your suggestions are also low calorie β€
For me, itβs been much easier to count carbs than calories. Iβd recommend trying that for a little bit. After a while, you get to know what foods you can and cannot eat. Much easier IMO. Just stay away from anything white; sugar, flour, etc. thatβs the easiest way to start. (I think)
β@@michelleelle4622 I’ve tried to do that too and it does make you stay in a deficit more easily. Thanks! I def could never go fully low carb but have started to stay way from them when it’s easier (ie avoiding added sugars especially in drinks). Also started opting for protien based options over ones with higher carbs, like veggies as a side instead of rice, but cant let go of them completely lol I love bread too much! π€£
Love your costco low carb recommendations β€
Thank you! π

The seabass is worth it. I always buy 2 bags because it is easy to thaw a piece or two for a quick meal. I also buy the big fresh salmon and like you cut and freeze most of it. I buy the frozen as well but I think the fresh tastes better even after freezing. I know this was a frozen foods video but their Wild Planet albacore tuna is great too. Thanks for your tips!
Love Costco! I had to go low carb due to being told I was ONE point away from being diabetic. (I was considered pre-diabetic) I had gestational diabetes during all 4 of my pregnancies and I knew I did NOT want to be dealing with that again! I gained about 40 pounds during the pandemic and this was a kick in the butt to lose the weight. Iβve lost the 40 pounds and I am no longer pre-diabetic. Yeah! ππΌππΌ I love watching videos of low carb recommendations as there is always something I havenβt tried. BTW, I donβt do the βNETβ carb thing, I count βALLβ carbs like I had to do during my pregnancies.
Once you have lost your weight, it us unhealthy to stay at 20 or below, especially for women
Congratulations! And good for you to take control before you slip over to the diabetic side!
I love you!! Awesome video. Do a carnivore Costco trip.
Thank you Mayra..

I love your videos they have been so helpful to eat right to get this weight off.β€
One thing: The first bag of burgers you held up are cooked. The second are raw, correct? Something we don’t think about a lot is the fact that we don’t have to eat them as burgers, whether they’re cooked or not. I get two pounds of raw frozen Angus patties (1/3 lb. each) at Aldi, and I can use three to make ground beef for meat sauce or taco meat or use them as pre-made burgers. Even if the burgers are cooked, you can crumble them to put on top of pizza or to put in meat sauce or a recipe.
Costco sells a 6 lb. bag of Italian meatballs. They’re super low-carb and clean. I throw some in the microwave for about a minute and a half and sometimes eat them plain or with melted cheese. I’ve also put them in a low-carb hotdog bun with cheese for a sub or in a tortilla with cheese for a meatball wrap. Of course you can put them in sauce, but also try thawing them a bit in the microwave and crumbling them on pizza. Delish.
Myra, I would love a video of all Gluten Free. I have celiac disease and learning to eat better. Please share the best finds. β€
