Honestly? My day is really simple, and I eat a lot of the same things again and again to make calorie counting as easy as possible.

Breakfast is a protein shake with spinach, a banana, peanut butter, milk, and protein powder (~405 calories).

Lunch is a turkey and cheese tortilla wrap (~255 calories) or a salad (~200 calories), plus an apple (~100 calories) for a snack.

And dinner is something quick and delicious (~450 calories), plus a Greek yogurt with honey and cinnamon (~150 calories) for dessert.

Oh my gosh, you are SO organized! Planning your meals. I am working on making this a part of my routine (challenging for me!)

    • Pahla B, Weight Loss Coach for Women over 50 says:

Well, as I mentioned, I actually make my kids plan the meals, LOL!

  • Trish J says:

Hi Pahla, loved this video. I’m 45 and have been following you for the past 3-4 years. I have learned so much from you recently. I love exercising and really need to focus more on my calories/eating. Thank you for all the good info. At least I will have this knowledge when I do go through menopause.😊💪

  • Jane Burford says:

I am half way through my 31 day challenge and I do exactly the same as you. I know what I am having to eat for my main meals at the beginning of the week and the rest is usually the same every day. The same breakfast (cereal) lunch is rice and a banana and protein bar through the day. Thank you for all you do for us 🙏😁

  • Shannon Littleton says:

Thank you so much Pahla! This meal plan is absolutely something that I can change about my food and calorie intake. There’s sooo much out there and most of which is confusing.
I already feel great with your workouts and had wondered about how to make a healthy switch to my meal plans. You’re the best! Big Internet hugs! 🤗

Love you- you’re fun and supportive and I believe you appeal to all ages! Keep up all the good work, thanks.

  • C P says:

Hey Pahla, I appreciate this peek into your eating habits routine video. Thanks for keeping things simple, and approachable! I’ve been super busy moving that I haven’t been able to workout with you. I can’t wait to get started again!

  • Jessica Arnold says:

Thank you for sharing your routine. I’ve listened to your 5 part series on weight loss and often wondered what you looked like before your weight loss journey. I appreciate your courage to share your pics. I thought i was the only one who ate tuna on a salad! I also love yogurt with connamon and honey! I usually eat oatmeal with blueberries and cinnamon for breakfast, salad for lunch, sometimes I’ll have a grapefruit or peanut butter energy bites as an afternoon snack and a hearty dinner. I have a vague idea what will be for dinner, but it’s not concrete. I think I will try writing it down. P.S. your shirt is super cute!

  • Den War says:

Pahla, I found you in 2018 when I had plantar fasciitis and started doing your seated workouts. I tell everyone about you especially now that we have to exercise at home. I have to commit to tracking calories to loose the 10 lbs I want to and I am so resisting that. Seeing your meals gave me inspiration that I can do this. Thank you!

    • Pahla B, Weight Loss Coach for Women over 50 says:

Of course you can do this!! It took me a long time to get “mentally prepared” for weight loss, but then once my head was in the right place, it all came together. It will for you, too. <3

  • Miriam Gassman says:

Hi Pahla! I love your videos, love your peppiness and how ‘real’ you are-thank you for letting us peek into your eating style for weight loss! I get hung up on the calorie counting, it’s such a hassle to measure everything I’m planning to eat. How did you get started with measuring and keeping track of calories? Thank you!

  • The Planner Place Co says:

Pahla this video came at the perfect time for me! Thank you for showing real food that I can actually prepare 😆 I’m so glad I found your channel!🎉

  • GM Planell says:

I just found your videos. You keep it real. Very inspiring. I don’t feel overwhelmed at the thought of eating properly and managing calories. Just starting to take this on … I appreciate you. Thank you, PB. 😊

  • Sarah Elizabeth Bassett says:

Pahla, thank you so very much for all your recipes and your tips on eating. I will let you know what I come up with for calories, etc. as I begin to look at the things you suggested. Just started building my plan. I love your attitude. I love your positive push for nutrition. I love everything you are doing. You are encouraging. I need that. Thank you so much. I love the recipe ideas. I’m a foodie so simplifying dinner is hard for me (mentally) but your method makes total sense for my busy life. I am taking an evening learning course and had to simplify weeknights. Theses are terrific, simple, delicious and I can teach my teens and hubby to make them so they can make dinner a few times a week too. I am also exercising moderately every day as you suggest and am counting calories to get to my favorite weight: I also plan ahead and assign my family their day to cook each. So far, I feel relieved knowing we don’t have to go to fast food or frozen foods and can fere up my time for my goals. I love your workouts too because they are doable and fast, which I do before work. Thanks for being so real and inspirational!

  • Karen Lo says:

I really appreciate everything you share.
My 54 yr old menopausal tummy just creeps up. I’m not overweight but managing that 5-7 belly pounds feels like a job.
I love your workouts and they keep me healthy.
    Oh that belly battle. 😊

    • Jessica Robinson says:

      I like your menu
I cant get rid of my tummy no matter what i do

    • Chris Ferrario says:

Omg! Me too! Used to be 5’8” 😂. I kinda laugh at this little weird belly that just formed the last two years! I think I can tell the lack of collagen makes that fat feel…. Yuckier? Flabbier?

  • kawahgio says:

Hi Pahla, love the name btw 😊. I just started your 5-O program and did the first workout and I’m super happy to have FINALLY found someone who is specifically speaking to menopausal women. My family and I started a weight loss challenge at the beginning of the year and I totally stressed because we had a weekly weigh in and the scale was not cooperating and for the life of me, I couldn’t lose the weight and what you say makes sooooo much sense to me, but, I actually lost 3lbs last week, even though we still have the weekly weigh in because my mindset has changed. Thank you, THANK YOU! I live in Trinidad in the West Indies and we are a drinkers so that’s about the only thing I will need to factor in pretty much every weekend 🙈. Any tips on incorporating alcohol (vodka/club soda) into my “diet”?

  • Lezlie Wilson says:

Just started your workouts this week. The walking ones are suitable for me since I have had a knee replacement and my hip is ready to be done as well. I find them very interesting as well as your talks. I hope I continue and see results. Thanks
