Thank you for mentioning mugwort! I’m Rusyn (eastern Europe) and I;ve been foraging for and drying wild mugwort all my life and love using it in a pilav or to flavor buckwheat – but all I’ve also found that everything that the aunties say about it being a miracle cure just doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. It’s kind of funny seeing it marketed as an expensive superfood for the cool, hot girls when it literally grows behind our gardens over here and is very much a “grandma herb” to many younger people.

I know this is random but mashed potatoes made with cottage cheese (blend curds before mashing) is my absolute favorite. I keep it in bulk in my fridge and eat it as a side for like every meal. Potatoes are so satiating and the cottage cheese adds more protein. 😅

@ a heaping cup of cottage cheese for 7 medium sized russet potatoes and a splash of milk. You can adjust based on preference. Those measurements will give a pretty creamy texture. When you re-heat, mix after heating because the ingredients separate a little.

and for myself too i’m 4’11 and get constantly told 1440 calories is what i should be eating :’) its been helping me plan better well rounded meals but its reallyyyy hard
Hi! Could you do a video on heart burn friendly foods? I just developed chronic heartburn as a part of some other medical issues, and am kind of at a loss without citrus and tomatoes.

As a person who loves to eat a variety of different foods throughout the day , I think I struggle with not getting enough protein in daily because I can’t think of what to combine with what, especially for breakfast ..there’s only so many ideas I can come up with that’s not eggs ! 😂. Love these videos and your commentary Abbey, so helpful! Also -I would love for you to review Caroline Franco on YouTube , her recipes are all based on ‘modern

i think you would need to know her height , weight etc. i work out 2 times a week and on average burn 1410 calories a day. i eat twice a day and im perfectly fuelled . if im going on holiday or i want to shed a little weight i eat 1290 , so i think generalizing that shes not consuming enough calories is very dependant
I sort of agree BUT when we think about how many women eat too little and especially when working out, I think it’s a fair comment even without knowing her measurements. 900 calories is not enough for any grown adult. So many women eat much too little without realising how it affects their bone health or hormones. Everything is always about weight sadly.
@ that’s true but as someone who counts calories , I saw well over 900 calories in her meals . I think 900 is a huge understatement. I’d say minimal her meals looked like 1200 . Still too low for maintenance but the odd day of the week while on a slight deficit is fine . Especially as some meals looked like much more.

I wish I could be young, healthy and strong enough to work out like she does. Alas I am a disabled 62 year old woman who is trying to eat healthy and lose weight. It is going very slowly but I have lost 30 pounds since July and I have 10 more to go for my goal. Wish me luck 🍀!
