Hi abbey! Could you do more videos on nutrition for endurance athletes (like marathon runners)? Like anything regarding fueling/differences in carbs during runs vs carbs any other times, protein/fiber needs etc? And/or ammenorea in runners? Thank you!! Love your videos!

  • @SighthoundsAdventures says:

Hey Abbey could you do some Bariatric meal reviews?

  • @2twentysix says:

I’m hungry 1.5-2 hrs after a plate of oatmeal no matter what I add to it, but with eggs or protein/fruit/seeds smoothie can go 3-5 hrs. Everyone’s different so blanket recommendations by experts are annoying and frustrating. Think eventually science will say so. Love your channel 🙏

  • @hannahc2939 says:

You know its Men’s Health that are labeling it a cheat meal not the celebrities so why not call them out on it, rather than blaming the celebrities who are just providing sound bite answers to very specific questions.

I’m still baffled as to what was “insanely dangerous” about his regular diet, especially as he pointed out he wouldn’t diet down like that for a role again. The click bait is getting out of hand.

    • @dramanino says:

I think it was mostly to do with his calorie intake, and it probably is meant to steer people away from those types of diets in the first place. You seem new here, so I would highly recommend you listen carefully to how she talks about certain things. Often times she makes it clear that “the average person” shouldn’t try certain diets when they don’t know the benefits or the negatives. She almost never talks directly about people that are dealing with certain health issues. In this case, I don’t find it completely out of context. You wouldn’t tell someone that just went into the gym that dead lifting is safe for you to do everyday before you even train any other part of your body

    • @hannahc2939 says:

@dramanino  I’m not new here but thanks for the patronisation.
I think Abbey is obsessed with any form of restriction causing EDs when in reality a huge proportion of the would benefit from MORE restriction in their diet. When people are more likely to be at risk of a gambling addiction than disordered eating its just shock tactics.

He specifically said he wouldn’t diet like that for a role again, so there is no need to address it. He didn’t say he felt guilty about his “cheat meal” but she still poked at it when she knows mens health is the one asking the question like that.
Not to mention she will advertise practically anything even if she had debunked a products claims just one episode before, or hasn’t actually tested the service.

When I was little girl, I was bullied for being skinny (ridiculously long arms and legs) and my nickname was/is Spider 🕷️ Man because I’d also climb the furniture, the walls, the trees… I’m also abnormally flexible. My parents saw all that and put me in pre ballet/gymnastics classes. I fell in love with it and when I had the chance to move to Moscow for Ballet Academy they’re my biggest supporters (even though I was still really young). Fast forward and now this Spidey is a professional ballerina. 🇵🇹🇧🇷🇷🇴🇺🇦🇷🇺🩰

I believe it was “Nick Fury” who said “My girlfriend’s a vegetarian…which pretty much makes me a vegetarian (but I do love a good burger)”, Or maybe it was someone else who just looked like Nick Fury 😉

  • @hgrabows says:

I’m a recent convert to In & Out. Finally ate it in store and ordered the fries extra crispy. They are delicious when ordered that way. Still not the best in the fast food business but they went from “I’ll just skip the fries” to definitely order next time.

  • @nay.murray6097 says:

so firstly if your not used to eating much fiber please dont swap your beef in chiilie for lentils , this would be such a huge increase in fiber your likely to get some real stomach issues. if you want to add them ,start increasing slowly . also to say the breakfast was 30grams of protein is under cutting . the oats alone are likely 9grams of protein , depending on his serving which is likely 50-65grams if hes eating light, then he adds nuts, maybe 3 -7grams ( super high in calories),fruit and milk 8 gram. he also has a shake on the side . likely a protein shake with probably 25gram minimum . im not sure where 30 is coming from. id guess more like 45-55 grams in breakfast plus he says he is constantly drinking protein shakes. total protein, total calories is what matters , if he skips lunch ,i dont think its a huge issue. i had 101grams of protein today in only two meals , no shakes very easily done

  • @libraryminnie5892 says:

I make chili with black soy beans and ground sirloin, my stomach doesn’t love a bunch of traditional beans. At first it was because the carbs were lower, but I feel better after I eat it that way.

  • @natalieengleman2753 says:

Actually, the Glucose Godess isn’t anti carbs. In fact, she’s totally cool with people eating carbs as long as they don’t eat them “naked” and put “clothes” on them. By that, I mean eating carbs is fine by her, it’s just that she wants people to not eat them by themselves but with something that isn’t carbs, for example, eating chips and guac instead of just chips. Just fyi

  • @alexp601 says:

I recently had a doctor yell at me for taking protein powder (and creatine and pre-workout). She kept telling me that stuff ruins our bodies and that I should just consume real food. My blood work has been good and there was no specific reason to tell me to stop taking supplements, but she insisted that I stop immediately…

    • @suikim9194 says:

I thought it was only problematic to take that stuff for people with kidney problems? Maybe your dr is confused or something.

    • @alexp601 says:

@@suikim9194 Yeah not sure why she had such a problem that stuff. I do have a very slight amount of fat around my liver but I think that’s just some recent bad diet in the mix, and it isn’t a cause of concern for any of the doctors as it’s so minimal and not causing me any issues.

    • @OffensiveThoughts213 says:

My moms boss who does fitness for many years, said he know people who suffered from kidney failure from taking all these special supplements, and i knew someone who passed away from liver cancer@@alexp601

  • @OffensiveThoughts213 says:

My breakfast oats peanut butter, 1 pear, 1 banana, 1boiled egg, 1 container greek yogurt and a 30g protein bar

  • @MsJosiejo32 says:

Not everyone attributes negative connotations to the phrase ‘cheat meal’, for some, like myself, its a neutral description, because its become synonymous with fast food. Its something I feel no guilt in eating, I just don’t have it very often 🙂

I’d like to see a video on oat based recipes to combat the stigma and negative comments surrounding Oats. They are the foundation of my daily diet and I love them but they could do with some new flavour and Protein improvement ideas as I am actively working towards building back my metabolic muscle. Thank you in advance if this idea sees the light of day as future content, but if not, thank you for your content regardless.

  • @jesssealey6552 says:

I started taking Creatine after watching your video on it. I’m waiting to see the benefits kick in, but I am hopeful, so thank you.
