I visited my uncle recently and he was like “oats are the WORST thing you could eat. I hope you don’t eat those.”

And I proudly said, “Yes I do and they feel good to eat”

And he said “It’s usually 7 days later when you feel bad. It’s science.”

    😮😂 ooooookk

    • @vilma9142 says:

Science? More like being delulu 😂😂 in 7 days the oats will be long gone out of your system and floating somewhere in the soil pipes 😭😂

    • @itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118 says:

My aunt is one of those “meat rots in your guts” people. She brought it up most recently when she was cutting my hair, I explained about digestive enzymes but afterwards I wasn’t so sure that was the right time to talk about it 😅

  • @aaliak4499 says:

Sadly, there’s some BS regarding oats going around on the internet right now.
Oats are one of my favorite foods. I enjoy it with soymilk, frozen berries, banana, raisins or goji berries, and ground flax seeds.

    • @mintmayonnaise3290 says:

I know right! These dumb people are now making oatmeal or even oats sound bad, woosh

    • @rachelk2457 says:

I do the same but I use chia seeds but good thing about ground flaxseeds as it has not just omega 3 but also linoleic acid which helps with hormone regulation 😊 I just take the 1000mg flaxseed oil capsule😊

    • @petergriffiinbirdistheword says:

You misunderstood. The BS is that most oats on the market are sugar. Cheap (instant oats). That’s what I’m hearing from YouTube docs. They’re not the same in quality or nutrition. People figure, if they’re going to eat oats then might as well save calories. Rice cakes are less caloric the oats per serving. She said nutrition wise, she’d take oats but most people only care about calories.

    • @petergriffiinbirdistheword says:

@@rachelk2457 I love Chia seeds. Eat them everyday for breakfast.

    • @user-sc8mt5ff4c says:

@@petergriffiinbirdisthewordit’s easy to find sugar free oats though and you don’t even need instant oats for it to be fast. I literally make my oatmeal in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Oats are good good, there’s a lot of other things people could cut down more on like the heaps of animal proteins and fats.

  • @christinas2188 says:

What are your thoughts on oats and IBS or SIBO? Drives me nuts. Can’t tell if the bloating that happens in the morning is from the oats I ate for breakfast, or was it something from the night or day before? I’m talking totally plain oats with water cooked in the microwave- nothing added.

    • @Slayy05a says:

I cook the oats I eat with water (on the stove) nothing added. And I do eat it w fruits and nuts. Other than that, I do not bloat at all when I eat oats. I only bloat when I overeat in general.

    • @linedot2745 says:

      Oats bloat me too!

    • @dopex89 says:

Might be a me thing but if I get bloated from a food like beans or oats, it does subside the more I have them? I know it’s related to enzymes when it comes to legumes, not sure if it’s the same for oats.

    • @seatea3463 says:

It’s the oats. Try to eliminate them for one week or more. And see how you feel.

    • @christinas2188 says:

Thanks, I’m on like Day 2 of no oats, can’t really tell anything so far. Also, I wonder why….the resistance starch maybe?

  • @samaviapatelsousa4170 says:

Oats bloat me !!:( rice cakes Dont gladly

    • @constanceterrazas9404 says:

it’s because of the fiber! the bloating is them taking longer to pass through your intestines, thus you feel fuller longer. i always feel SO full after eating my oats but i know it was just a 300 cal meal and that im gonna feel full for hours later

  • @rachelk2457 says:

Oh you forgot the micronutrients of vitamin Bs are packed in oats too😊
My grandpa ate oats everyday of his life and he lived to be 96. But that was mostly his genes but he was never obese😅
What this person also fails to realize is that if you want lower carb oats you actually can have that in oat bran😊
Did you know they are dissing sweet potatos online too?😅 Arg.

    • @cristywyndham-shaw5111 says:

I’ve seen that, ppl dissing sweet potatoes. Wth?? There are some seriously misinformed folk out there.

    • @rachelk2457 says:

@@cristywyndham-shaw5111 I know sweet potatoes are packed with beta carotene and fiber. Well, the person online who is spreading that lie thinks the human digestive tract is No different than drain pipes LOL! And fails to realize that the human digestive tract has Tons of chemical reactions, so it is not really like a drain pipe at all 😅

  • @megleland6320 says:

My rice cooker has a Steel Cut Oat setting I can set the night before, makes it very easy to have hot oatmeal ready for me when I get up along with my auto coffee pot. I make it with water and fruit, and glaze it with a tiny bit of butter before I eat it. A little goes a long way, and paired with a bit of protein in my soy latte, keeps me full for a long-long time.

  • @glittercakes7720 says:

I bought an instapot so I can make oatmeal. Rice cakes are best as cheeses flavored snacks . Besides Nutella overnight oats are to good to stop.

    • @user-sc8mt5ff4c says:

You can make it in the microwave. Just add water and oats into a bowl and put it in for a couple of minutes.

  • @Fitness.Fan.Max.0208 says:

According to the worst TED talk I’ve ever heard, “the poors” eat Oatmeal, so it must be terrible for insecure and silly people.

  • @rebeccawright5987 says:

I’m sorry, but overnight rice cakes just sounds awful. They seem like they’d be very soggy

  • @gigglingchicken8444 says:

My overnight oats are better than dessert! I love them so much, and I have so many different recipes and I love the texture and it is amazing with honey or maple syrup for some sweetness.

  • @cristinabock1310 says:

Love me some oats. I like rice cakes but not soggy overnight rice cakes lol.

  • @liliaml6955 says:

The fact that people make their oats with water is beyond me. 🤮🤮🤮

  • @justicedinosaur7302 says:

I don’t think rice is going to kill you. Have you been to Asia? I know lots of people who feel weird if they don’t have rice with every meal

  • @kittster2785 says:

Where did he say oats are bad? Some people just don’t like oats and this could be a good alternative for them. He also used two tablespoons of chia seeds with has plenty of healthy fats and protein to negate any “blood sugar issues” you’re pretending to be concerned about.

By the way, most Asians eat rice everyday, multiple times a day and there hasn’t been a single recorded case of arsenic poisoning as a result. If you’re going to call out rice for being high in arsenic then you need to call out oats for being high in mycotoxins which are known to cause cancer.

  • @marcywise7799 says:

😈Evil me is actually hoping y’all believe oats are unhealthy. That way there’s MORE for me and a possible price drop! 😈

  • @luiysia says:

rice cakes soaked in milk overnight sounds fucking terrible lmaooo

  • @debbiebeesley4486 says:

Those look like little pots of sadness! Each to their own but I’ll stick to my yummy overnight oats.

  • @ambramari118 says:

My intestins cannot stand oats … but I will never replace them with rice crackers or any ultra processed foods!
Soy milk, chia seeds and red fruits ❤

  • @Winterliebende says:

Since I discoverd corncakes (is that the right word) I don’t eat ricecakes anyome. They taste soo much better in my opinion. I don’t like oatmeal that much. Most people just eat bread for breakfast in my surroundings. There is so much delicious bread. I could eat bread for every meal 😂

  • @giuseppeferrara952 says:

Soo, I don’t see where he mentioned or implied oats being a bad thing. He’s just sharing something that he prefers over oats and that helped him to lose the weight he wanted; it doesn’t mean he meant oats are bad.

Again, it’s really just you trying to find things to be overly critical about, whether it’s by twisting the story or cutting parts out of the content creator’s video just to make them sound less knowledgeable than they are.
