    Hi autumn bates

  • @RodneyD says:

I’ve been having the same sentiment about chicken as well. I’m contemplating switching back to beef for as my main protein source.

  • @guylainelamoureux says:

Never knew this about chicken 🤔… Thank you 💪❤️🇨🇦

    • @mdp_lady says:

Yes, but chicken is still a good meat to have. Don’t throw away chicken just because she doesn’t eat it.

    • @guylainelamoureux says:

@@mdp_lady woah… I have chicken 2 times a week, you don’t know that I am throwing chicken away because she doesn’t eat it. Where in her video does Autumn say she does not eat it. Please don’t comment on my comment unless you have something positive to say. Thank you for respecting Autumn and the people in her community. Have a nice day.

  • @edmondsmf says:

    I do always like beef.
Love your smoothie recipes! Any tips on the best way to prepare smoothies for work the next day?

    • @AutumnBates says:

I’m so glad you’re enjoying the smoothie recipes, Edmond! You can throw all your ingredients (except for the liquid) into a baggie/container and freeze so it’s ready to go the next morning! When you’re ready to make your smoothie, simply add the ingredients from your container/bag into the blender and add your liquid.

It’s so difficult for those of us who cannot tolerate dairy or gluten. Then throw in high cholesterol. I’ve been told to limit red meat and eggs. There’s not many options.

    • @stuffstuffstuffyay says:

yeah I had high cholesterol last few blood tests too

    • @SlingsAxes says:

Your body makes 80% of your cholesterol. That’s why cutting out dietary cholesterol barely lowers the numbers.

    • @laurengedeon2653 says:

Cholesterol is not the enemy! Read “The Great Cholesterol Myth”.

    • @christina6308-z says:

Cut your carbs and ignore the fat and then recheck your blood results and I think you’ll be surprised

    • @ShoppingEmail-dr1fs says:

why would you limit eggs and red meat if your body is making more cholesterol? they are highly nutritious foods, many very very old people have eaten that all their lives, as has my mother in her 90s no heart disease…. what you eat has no bearing on cholesterol as its made by your liver. I think that’s more political than health advice. olive oil is 14 percent saturated fat. nuts have more fat than a lean steak. If you are menopausal, that’s the cause. take HRT? your cholesterol makes hormones when you stop making hormones it’s natural for your cholesterol to go up – doesn’t relate to heart disease though. what’s your inflammatory markers and blood sugar and triglycerides. high cholesterol on its own is not a medical condition. I don’t have heart disease have had higher cholesterol for 20 years. Take a statin if you need to. I dont’ know, just some ideas, not judging or assuming I know it all. “Research has found that dietary cholesterol is not associated with an increased risk of heart disease. A lot of research has been conducted on eggs specifically. Eggs are a significant source of dietary cholesterol, but studies have shown that eating them is not associated with an elevated risk of heart disease.” Healthline.

    Girl me as well!!!

  • @lorensims4846 says:

Since I started on the carnivore diet three years ago I’ve found that I don’t feel as good after easting the meats from monogastric animals like chicken or pork. I tend to feel much better after eating meat from ruminants like beef, venison or bison. I’ve heard many different reasons this might be so, I just know how I feel.

  • @1976Cordoba says:

Get an instant pot for chicken — you can cook the living **** out of it and it stays moist lol. My favorite is a jar of salsa, 3 or 4 chicken breaststroke and a pack of taco seasoning. Cook high pressure 40m and shred in a mixer for chicken tacos.

  • @ddrlbhski6438 says:

You don’t need to overcook your chicken, just use a good probe thermometer in the thickest part of the chicken to make sure it’s at 165 – 170 degrees.

  • @carolschneider1404 says:

Great video!! I’m a beef and lamb girl myself!

  • @ApostolosKatsioulas says:

Due to IBS and hemorrhoids I wasn’t much into red meat the past four years. However, I decided to swap to lean cuts of beef over chicken and turkey, I always preferred turkey over chicken too, because due to medications my thyroid got messed up and that has led to me having hypothyroidism and a drop in ferritin. Although Istill take an iron supplement, I am going to finish the rest of the bottle and not get another. I still won’t get back to dairy, it’s a bit complicated I don’t know whether I am lactose intolerant or it’s the A1 casein that cause me to bloat. I must admit that I’ve always felt better with full fat dairy, 5% fat Greek yogurt for example. Whenever I had 2% fat cottage cheese or Greek yogurt, I would get issues. I can’t say much on kefir, cow’s milk kefir in Greece is 1,5% fat. I feel I get adequate amounts of omega 3 in my nutrition via lean ground beef, I swapped from pollock to salmon, eggs, nuts and seeds. Sincere apologies for the wall of text Mama Autumn. Thank you very much for the video.

Chicken has been a staple in our household because it’s convenient, low in calories and so versatile. But we also eat a lot of red meat as well, and I’m so glad to hear good things about it after so many years of getting a bad rap.

  • @strawberryme08 says:

Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc and drinking nettle infusions gives you lots of trace minerals and tons of potassium and magnesium zinc etc it’s high in magnesium low in sodium and magnesium use’s sodium so add the sodium in your water

  • @bobstine6872 says:

I know what you mean about chicken and fat content. When I was a kid chickens were much smaller than what we find today and they had lots of fat, nice deep yellow fat, that our parents and grandparents used to make a rich chicken broth to use in multiple recipes. Oh, for the good old days. 😊

  • @CrazyMaryJo says:

I get great quality chicken from Amazon Fresh. Brand is Bare. I use that Good Culture Cottage Cheese on dry toast, with or without berries. Delish.
