  • @arica1798 says:

    I ate 1200 calories for 20 years

  • @joegomez5463 says:

She must be an Ifbb pro, trying to get stage lean doing that lmao……

  • @skoopman2675 says:

Absolutely true but MOST women do NOT/are NOT able to ate 1200 kcal for a long period of time. And MOST women are not able to track exactly 1200 kcal, because food labels are allowed to have a error of 20% and MOST people underestimate their portion size.

  • @SlowJo says:

Does this also apply to those who are not at the lowest bmi/weight for their age and height? Does the calorie deficit of this scale, have the same effect on organs and bones, of someone who has the extra fat to draw on?
This is a genuine question, and not a statement to fat shame, or create pain for anyone of any size.

  • @marie3687 says:

Thank you so much for videos like these!❤️ I think this is what is not spoken about enough and is often dismissed by so many people. That we actually require a certain amount of calories for basic survival – always keep that in mind!

😮 Even my 3 year old needs more calories…

  • @jeanniesjournal says:

I wish there was YouTube when I was a budding teen counting every calorie and making sure it hovered at the 1200 mark. Now, at 45, I’m finally mostly at peace with my body, my healthy choices, and yes, being full! ❤

  • @QueenOfHartz3 says:

I remember when I was 112, I was a teen not at my full size, as an adult that’s reached her full height of 5’6” & about 10 lbs heavier, I can’t imagine myself at 112 without thinking about how I’d look 😰

  • @cutecookie1111 says:

unfortunately as a very petite woman, 1260 is what i need to eat in a deficit to lose body fat… and my maintenance is 1500, i have also been lifting weights for years. Every person is different, and not a lot of dieticians or personal trainers account for people under 5”3.

    • @cutecookie1111 says:

i also need to mention that 1260 is enough for me & i still enjoy treats everyday! I make sure to budget it in & I still eat burgers every week & pizza, I just make it homemade & do some smart swaps with ingredients so I can reach my goals. It is different for everyone. If you are under 5”3 and reading this, take advice from folk who are educated in petite fitness & diet.

      Petite fitness and diet gang

    • @Purple_Alien2511 says:

Yess. Thank you. As a 5’1″ woman, I always wondered about this. I eat around 1200 calories everyday and am completely satisfied. Eating anymore would be stiffing myself to the point of puking

  • @theamandizchannel says:

Wowowow ABBEY!!! That colour on you!!! Yesssss u look amazing
Keep up the good work! ❤

  • @kassiabatista7228 says:

I remember I joined a workout program after giving birth to my first baby. I probably had only like 15 pounds I wanted to lose and the coach said “I usually have women start at 1200-1500 calories but since you’re breastfeeding you can have 1800” 😳 thankfully I didn’t listen and followed my appetite!

  • @smolbluelady5278 says:

Can you go into details for shorter women? Every time I use a calorie calculator, it puts me at 1,200 which doesn’t feel realistic (5’3 for reference)

    • @theogcyndol says:

I’m 5’3 and my PT said I should be hitting 1800 cal a day. That’s with only working out 2-3 times a week. Obviously everyone is different but that’s what I was told and that was in order to lose weight, not gain or sustain. Just as an idea for you.

    • @samanthatheminimalist says:

I’m 4’11” and my bmr is about 1200, just looking at height I think 1200 is not enough for you unless you’re bedridden in a coma.
