Context is also important. She was not fat, so losing that much that quickly is definitely not good. At the same time though, someone whos 400lbs could easily lose 22lbs in a month even while still eating mcdonalds and pizzas every day and it would not be unhealthy to lose that much weight that quickly FOR THEM. When you have a lot of fat to lose it comes off quickly and easily with only moderate changes to eating. Whereas for smaller people it takes drastic and unhealthy means to lose that kind of weight at the same speed.
That doesn’t make it ok
@@buttercupVT and I’m not saying it is. I’m just providing extra context since Abbey doesn’t often qualify her statements. “Losing 22lbs in a month is unhealthy” is true for most, but not for all.
@taylorhillard4868 she’s doing a reaction video, I’m sure she seen the whole thing. Her page is about health not the context of what or something else.
Your comment is useless bc it’s clearly about eating disorders not if someone’s fat or not.
@@buttercupVT none of what you just said is even coherent. Take a breath.
I’m just saying that one can’t just give blanket statements as if they apply to everyone, as Abbey often does. Yes, losing a lot of weight very fast is unhealthy if you are normal or underweight. But if you are very overfat (like morbidly and supermorbidly obese) then losing a lot of weight is not only not unhealthy, it’s probably one of the single best things one can do for their health.
@@taylorhillard4868Ignore them, looks like another die hard Abbey supporter who can’t bother to consider a different perspective
That weight loss w the time frame is not even physically possible…it’s just a lie as to the numbers
Oh wow i thought 2-3 lbs a week was still safe. Its 1 – 2 now? I only use this knowledge for safety reasons i dont diet ❤
It depends on how overweight you are to begin with. A morbidly obese person can safely lose over 5lbs per week in the early stages of weight loss. This is why percentages are more accurate.
I thought she said cute sugar!! lol 😂
If you havent already , it would be great to hear what you think of using ozympic, etc for weightloss . Thank you , your content is refreshing !! Love it. Merriest of Christmas to you 🎄🎅🤶🎉
She has long form videos on it. There’s a playlist on her channel as well of her giving her input on her friend’s ozempic use.
@catbeara thank you , I have just in the last few days had her come up in my shorts and really enjoy her content . I appreciate you letting me know …tonight I am going to relax with a tea and watch 😊 thank you …merry Christmas to you 🎄
@@wundawuman7476 you’re very welcome, happy holidays to you too!
Ozmpic is for lazy land whales. As a former land whale, do better as a person and stay off ozmpic.
@adamarzo559 um, where did I mention that I was taking it or thinking of taking it?? …I am just interested in hearing what she thought .
That’s crazy you are just now reacting to these because they recently started popping up on my feed too wow
It’s physiologically impossible to lose 22 pounds in two weeks. Even fasted, this would be almost impossible- I call cap
For someone morbidly obese, they can lose 80-100 lbs n one month.
@@mothermakeup7481that’s scary and i wouldn’t be surprised if someone would be hospitalized after losing 100 pounds in a month. like c’mon thats 100!!
@@mothermakeup7481hahahha no they cannot 🤦♀️
@@mothermakeup7481 The girl in the video is not morbidly obese, genius.
@@twosharksinatrenchcoat Absolutely yes they can. Severely obese people are expected to lose 50 lbs in a month to be eligible for weight loss surgery.
I eat 900 calories a day and I don’t lose weight that fast. Must be nice.
Extremely dangerous to eat 900 calories a day. Please do better. 1200 is the bare minimum a day you need for your body to survive. You are literally dying on 900 cals
I’m at 1200 calories a day
And alot of Japanese and Korean boys expect their girlfriends to be this skinny. This is one of many reasons Japan and Korea are having low birth rates. Their woman become infertile from not eating enough calories because of these ridiculously unhealthy beauty standards. It’s so messed up. There is healthy weight people not just skinny or overweight.
Why is everything so sped up? It sounds like Alvin and the chipmunks.
Because you only have a small amount of time for Shorts and Abbey is too lazy to make a proper video. She makes more money by churning out this crap.
On a different subject but do you know about zoe. Abbey with the blood test and poop test it is personalised intuitive eating no calories counting
Wtf 22 pounds in 2 weeks ??? That’s crazy
Yikes !!!
I lost 20 lbs in a month once. I was extremely sick and got sick after every meal. Do not recommend
I was doing this unintentionally I just didn’t have an appetite and had an eating disorder and gained a lot of weight now it’s hard to come off
If I ate that in a day, I would be so angry all day no one could come near me
Thank you for speaking out about this, Abbey ❤
Carbs are optional. There is nothing wrong with eating a low-carb diet.
Agree – some of us eat no carbs and are perfectly healthy.
Most people want rapid weight loss but usually gain it all back (personal experience). We need an eating culture that that is sustainable reduces weight loss slowly.
I’ve struggled with weight a lot of my life. Many diets, some very extreme. Recently I worked with a nutritionist and I was shocked at how little of a deficit he wanted me in. But I went along. Over three months I lost about 20bs. Not quite half what I want to lose.
Then some illness and life happened and I went back to my typical diet. And a shocking thing has happened (or didn’t happen). I haven’t gained any back in two months! I think the slow and steady loss gave my body time to adapt, realize it wasn’t starving, and let my metabolism reset to the lower weight. Plus it wasn’t all water and muscle loss which does come back. After the holidays I’ll get myself back into the groove but in the mean time I’m just so glad that thos isn’t a yo-yo situation.
