I would add that the benefits from flaxseed come from it being ground. Whole flaxseed can pass through your digestive tract undigested leaving you with little absorption of nutrients.
Pretty banging shake, ngl.
I could make it myself, but i would have to omit the collagen & protein powder and find a substitute protein. Those two ingredients are just far too pricey where I’m from.
If you can get some Greek yogurt that might be a good alternative
@@lizpimentel2566
Oooouuuh, that might be great actually, Yoghurt isn’t _/as/_ pricey here.
Thanks, I’ll give it a try! ☺️
Greek yogurt, skyr, and cottage cheese, are all great sources of protein, and you can decide if you want them to be full fat or low fat most of the time! check them out for sure!
@@sigsomething
Cottage cheese would be nice if I could actually find some, but it’s so unavailable. So is skyr. Seems that yoghurt is my best option.
@@multifandomharlot yogurt is definitely a solid choice when looking for protein! sad to know those stables aren’t stables where you’re from
Hi
I do not get fearing naturally occurring sugar. Plus fruits and veg have other things you need in your body too.
Best diet is a balanced one
Because even though it’s natural, it’s still acts just like sugar when being metabolized in the body. This is what keeps people insulin resistant and unable to lose weight. Cut back on all sugar and watch body inflammation go down significantly and weight
“quarter of a banana” is not something even worth including! I thought the half a banana people were crazy. 😂
Bananas add texture to smoothies, but sometimes you don’t want the flavor. Without even thinking or caring about sugar or diet anything, I’ve added only 1/4 to 1/2 of a banana in plenty of my smoothies or other foods on instinct.
For real! What do all these people do with the rest of the banana? For me it’s a single use item. You peel it, you use all of it 🤷🏾♀️
@@drklawz9179 maybe they’re cut in chunks and frozen?
@@Nice_Tree I leave mine on the table covered by the leftover peel and eat more the next day.
Abbey you are a living example of your nutritional advice! You look radiant 🙂
Some dietitians / nutritionists have actually made me feel bad for eating fruits that are higher in sugar, instead of veggies and solely low-sugar fruits. A big Thank you to Abby for not demonizing beneficial foods
Sugar is not bad. The body runs on sugar. Its too much sugar that is detrimental
Sugar is not good. Where did you get that it isn’t bad? It’s the cause of so many health issues in people.
@@coastaldiva if you knew something about the way a body functions you should know that carbohydrates get broken into glucose which is energy. People get sick from a excess of sugar
@@annawitter5161 I do know the way the body functions and I also know that the body can make glucose from fat and proteins. You don’t need to be eating carbs to get the energy that you need. If you have any chronic disease or autoimmune condition, carbs are not your friend, not from fruit or processed food. Avoid them
@@coastaldiva I am not talking about people who are sick but just your average human. It’s different strokes for different folks. I do well on a high carb low fat diet. It’s all about what works for you, no food is bad in itself
Yeah, you do you. I do better on a high fat, as low carb as possible diet. As long as you aren’t mixing the two together, you won’t manifest sickness. Plus fat, especially from animal sources gives you a ton of energy too by the way.
Would you do a but on smoothies. I add spinach, but will the iron inhibit the calcium absorption from my enriched oat milk?
Sugar is sugar. Same in fruit and pepsi.
Oh…but this person is a dietitian — an expert. Lol.
No it’s not. Natural sugar impacts the body differently than processed sugar. Plus the fiber in fruit helps regulate the blood sugar after consumption. Check the sourcing on where you’re getting your info, thanks! 😊
You don’t have to fear the sugar in fruit, unless you’re diabetic, or trying not to be, or don’t like inappropriate inflammation.
(Your body doesn’t know the difference between the sugar from fruit and the sugar from candy. It just knows to spike your insulin when you eat either one.)
Then I guess that’s true.
Fruit comes with fiber and that fiber greatly reduces the spike from blood sugar. Therefore, your body does react differently from candy sugar and fruit sugar.
Are you really going to tell me that the sugar in candy, a completely human made food, is going to be equally as bad for me as the sugar in an apple? Really? I don’t think that’s the case. Check the sourcing on where you got your info. The fiber and micronutrients heavily outweigh the risks from the natural sugars.
This makes me think Celebrities should have fact checkers with them at all times to fact check anything before they say it and mis-influence hundreds of thousands of people
I have heard claims that adding a banana to your smoothies reduces its nutritional value as it binds certain nutrients. Not sure if it’s true.
Me, an oil painter, purposely mixing cadmium into my flax oil to make paint: “Oh no! Anyway…”
You can’t digest seeds!
Y’all need to try collagen mixed with peanut powder/peanut butter and latte. Peanut and coffee aroma cover the collagen taste really well if taking collagen has been a headache
Can we talk about how amazing Cindy looks? She looks very healthy and fit. Whatever she’s doing seems to be working.
Abby, can you slow down your shorts a little bit because i can’t keep up hehe. Or at least add some captions it would be really helpful, english is not my first language
Abby that lipstick is ✨GORGEOUS✨ on you! What’s that shade?
