Could you cite the studies? Asking for research purposes.

Jokes aside 8000 is such a large number it seems like a lie and that remvoes from the credibility of the video even if it is true, but it might be good for the clicks idk

  • @tomwoodall1463 says:

Was just reading your new book, when i got a YouTube pop-up for this new video. Funny..

  • @matteng1448 says:

Already into your book 2 chapters.

Was not expecting such a large book and I’m pleasantly surprised and happy!!

  • @remitto8367 says:

You should make a video about libido and longevity. When I cut back on exercise and eat lots of junk, I find my libido is through the roof. I feel like there’s a trade off between libido and longevity and things like fasting and caloric restriction are especially detrimental.

    • @nietzcki3403 says:

if you had animal protein and fat you won’t feel those effects as bad when cutting. Over exercising can cause those issues your talking about

    • @TC-by3il says:

I feel the exact opposite. When I become inactive and eat junk for extended periods my libido and erection quality falls off a cliff. Over-exercising and being in a too strict calorie deficit can definitely drop your libido as well though.

  • @av1204 says:

How can we say all diets are the same? Coming from a omnivore, there are tons of studies that show a mostly plant based diet is better for longevity. The highest meat consumption in a blue zone is 5% of daily calories. That may not show causation but it defenitley is correlated.

    • @SiimLand says:

Diets aren’t the same because they affect your bloodwork differently and people can have different bloodwork on the same diets

  • @ClaudeDiamond says:

Hi Siam, When is the audio book coming out?

  • @arcadepiano says:

first get to the 96 my grandmother achieved doing NOTHING, then we talk.
if you cannot make it to the 96 of my granma than all your books and videos will be proven worthless

    • @SiimLand says:

My point about genetics exactly. Your grandmother would’ve made it to 96 doing anything because centenarians have the same lifestyle and dietary habits as their peers. It’s just they get chronic diseases a few decades later because of genetics. There are millions of people who follow an identical lifestyle as your grandmother but they die in their 70s

  • @ericoshea9382 says:

    Outstanding!

  • @user-ij8no5zw6u- says:

Biomarkers……but how about if we get suspicions about the “optimal” ranges? How about if “optimal” ranges are temporally? For example still healthy young individual eating processed food all the time, but being in the optimal ranges? Is that individual going to be there in the next 10years? The body is pretty though and most bodily systems are heavily regulated as blood sugar is in the perfect range….until the system breaks…

    • @SiimLand says:

Some optimal ranges change with age

    • @user-ij8no5zw6u- says:

@@SiimLand Sure do, like cholesterol as most studies suggest…but what guarantee is what is because of the body being still young and coping with bad behaviors and what is biomarkers effect?
Healthy and real natural is so rare that to me all those “optimal” markers might be mostly meaningless representation of the Bell curve. I look at Brian Johnson with his perfect markers….but honestly that looks is supposed to be healthy??

  • @furiousdoe7779 says:

You never talk about back injuries and what is the impact on your life and trying to repair the injuries without surgery .

  • @CK-cy4zn says:

Hi Siam, will the book be translated to other languages? (for example German)

  • @LiamJamesKay says:

Just recommended this video by Youtube. It was very well put together and useful so thanks for that. One thing I would like to have seen is sources to some of the studies or meta analysis that allowed you to get to each conclusion. I know you’re pointing people to your book but some freely available sources would have been nice, and will help new viewers to your channel build up trust.

For example at 9:16 “try to eat 80% of your food as whole foods” – is this just your opinion, or has there been studies that got to this figure?

    • @SiimLand says:

The relevant studies are mentioned in the text on the screen. I mention more of the studies in my other videos. This was based more on my own lessons.

  • @justsayin7865 says:

I don’t like how studies can be manipulated by money

    • @SiimLand says:

It’s much harder than you think because of peer reviews. Also, a single study means very little, which is why you have to look at dozens of studies on a topic. It’s very hard to manipulate several studies done by different groups

  • @jblizzard962 says:

Please make a video about genetics and how that relateds to longevity.

  • @spacejunkisforever6311 says:

    Great video.

  • @jimdandy8996 says:

But carrying extra weight could also be good for leg muscles. Like the weight-suites people buy for exercise. Just saying.

  • @L8dyJustice says:

What would you do for Long Covid so you can get back to exercise. I’m exercise intolerant at the moment. I used to be very fit

  • @pm5095 says:

Thank you 👍 great video! So informative and succinct. I like to bake occasionally and use allulose to keep carbs and calories lower. Am I doing a healthier choice than use table sugar or honey/ maple syrup?

  • @berndgiraffe-b8q says:

Pls video on the most important 10 tings for longevity

  • @TemperedWambat says:
