Make Walking Great Again!
Exactly!!
Nice one, Autumn!
Its the best and most convenient exercise ever that most people forget that its right in front of their nose.
Its great reminder for me. Lately I’ve been inconsistent with my walks.
Thanks
I walked 10,000 steps a day for 30 days – and now I’m in the middle of Wyoming!! 😉
Great tips Autumn, thanks!
The Teddy bear factory received a new stuffing delivery! 🐻 Congratulations! 👶
Your scenery there is beautiful!! 🌴🌊☀️That would make me feel better too! Winter in Ohio is not nearly so pleasant outside. ☁️
OMG! You’re pregnant again? Yaaaaaaayyyyy! Congratulations!
Lovely Autumn I also love my walking daily, twice a day!! makes the world of difference physically, mentally and emotionally! Just remember your sunscreen Autumn!!!
Your 2019 video is really something. It got questioned but nowadays a lot of influencers, including gym bros, are recommending walking. Thanks Autumn for being avant-garde always. I’m here for it. Walking for me in the coming weeks is like 🚶♀️🍂❄️🥶🧤❄️🚶♀️🇨🇦.
I’m always impressed with your snowy walk pictures!
I started tracking my steps and doing 10k a day for 2 weeks now. The way I increase my steps where most days I can’t go for a walk; we don’t have trails or sidewalks around our house; I just walk around our kitchen and dining area while I’m cooking or I walk extra when playing with the kids in the basement or outside/. It really does add up and I always reach my 10k. When you distribute it through out the day it’s way more manageable and easy .
Can vouch for walking! I logged about 2-3 miles most days while pregnant and 3-5 postpartum. Am also lucky enough to live somewhere where everything is in easy reach on foot – but uphill! Thanks to this and other lifestyle factors (or maybe just luck) I ‘enjoyed’ a relatively straightforward labour and recovery, and even though I was overweight when I got pregnant, I had NO additional non-baby weight to lose.
Congrats on your new pregnancy! 🎉
That’s so amazing!! And thank you!❤️
Hi Autumn! I’m watching your LMNT “ad” and it reminded me – I would really love to get your take on the LMNT controversy around their products containing maltodextrin. I know they are a wonderful sponsor of your content, so you might not want to cover this, but I’d love to hear your take. I drink LMNT daily (on the advice of my dietician), but I am also insulin resistant, so the maltodextrin concerns me.
Hi! I would check your blood sugar levels to see if it’s impacting you. I’ve never noticed a spike in blood sugar from it and haven’t heard that from any of my clients. I also personally find that I’m much more consistent with taking my electrolytes with LMNT because it tastes great vs when I was just taking salt in water alone.
I kinda make my own. In a quart of water I add 2oz OJ and a half tsp Celtic salt. Yes, I realize the OJ has sugar but its only 25 calories but has 125 mg potassium. The sugar in the OJ really does nothing to blood sugar esp if spread out over a few hours. Plus, big $$ saver.
Ten years ago I was walking the six miles to work every morning because it got me out in the predawn hours which is my favorite part of the day. It felt great.
I would take the bus home because I didn’t want to keep my wife waiting.
Now that I’m alone and retired, I’ve become extremely sedentary.
Nowadays, 4000 steps is a good day. Typically I get a third of that.
I’m living quite rural so I’m pretty much restricted to walking along the road, which is not nearly as lovely as your excursions.
I do park away from the store when I go to try to get in a few more steps and a few other stunts like that but it doesn’t add up to much. I’ll have to repeat my long walks to get in the kind of step counts I want and that doesn’t appeal to me.
Maybe if I add audiobooks and podcasts… It’s worth the effort, I think.
We got snow this morning so I’ll have to wait until later in the day (after it melts) to make another effort.
I really do have to get moving so I really appreciate your encouragement.
🌞 I still have fond memories of your first walking video! ❤️
Cheers! ☕️🕊💙✨️🍁🍂
Thanks Autumn. Not walking today. Its Wisconsin and its a blizzard right now.
We have had such a beautiful fall and I have been able to do outside walks every day. Today is our first snow. So I will be getting out my trampoline. I highly recommend the trampoline for indoor exercise. There are so many health benefits and it’s so much fun!
I park at the end of the parking lot every time I run and errands. It drives my daughters 🤪 crazy! Now they tease me and tell me that I’m getting my “steps in” by parking “way out here.” 😅 I can tell them now that it’s good for their sleep.😴😊
Which state do you live in? We moved to south Texas 2 years ago, and walking has become almost impossible for at least half a year. I struggle to keep any walking activity. I still go to the gym, but walking on the treadmill is not the same😢
I’m usually very active but currently dealing with a hip injury and forced to be sedentary. Can u do a video on things one can do to stay healthy and somewhat active when injured?
