It’s so hilarious that you way said ooohh I’m like yea this is going to be good 🎉❤
I go on how I feel. When i was younger, I had no problem with working out on an empty stomach. Now, I perform better with breakfast. Since starting to work out again this time I even feel slightly dizzy and less able to perform well during the workout which tells me my breakfast is not substantial enough to sustain me and that I will need a snack beforehand or chuck it in my gym bag.
Just wanted to stop and say I love you, Abbey! Always calling out the BS and presenting us with facts!!
Hahaaa. So much actual evidence that rest days are beneficial, yet some random person is saying you’re lazy if you rest. Why don’t people actually follow evidence based advice from professionals? So weird to me.
It’s an effort Olympics. Doesn’t matter if it’s healthy if it’s performative. 😂
I’m a multi-sport athlete…. I absolutely do need all of the above. Thanks. I require minimums of 50-70g carbs preworkout/ 50g intra workout for sessions exceeding 60 minutes (which is 50%) and 100-150g carbs asap post workout…. and yes, even if you aren’t a high-level athlete and have less calorie requirements, please don’t skip rest days or else you’re gonna have a BAD TIME.
What about women hormones and training in fasted state?
Will this have a long form video or remain as a semi-short?
You will pry my pre workout cheerios from my cold dead hands
As a former dancer I can say with certainty that not having a rest day will FOR SURE result in an injury.
I don’t eat before going to the gym because it makes me feel so uncomfortable and I with out at like 8am. I do eat right after, but sometimes I regret not having a snack on me too fuel my body. (Currently every day is ready day because I broke a toe)
One time I nearly fainted because I did cardio late morning on an empty stomach.
Yeah, overtraining is a thing. Everyone is different, screw what people say, and do what’s best for you.
When I was doing triathlons I believed in my rest days consisting of hiking, or skiing or any number of physical activities. I eventually dug myself into such a terrible physical hole, I had to stop training all together. Rest is important. Fuel is important.
