I am on mounjoro for diabetes and on the first couple of days on a new dose it does feel rather bleak – I have to remind myself to eat to sustain my body and everything feels gross to eat. But the longer I stay on the same dose, the better/more normal it gets.
It has helped my numbers go down really quickly so I hope I am able to continue being on it without losing all pleasure in food 😅
I’ve always been curious if glp-1 actually helps ppl lose weight because it basically sounds like it works like an ED or a crash diet – people eat drastically less and then they’ll binge back all their weight once they’re done dieting
An eating disorder is not a diet. It’s a serious mental illness. And it’s not just about weight loss.
Really like this critical statements about Ozempic!
the person who gets paid to tell people to take diets they know they won’t actually keep up telling you have “bad” something that makes you easily lose weight is
Im on Ozempic for over 2 years because of my diabetes. I haven’t lost my pleasure in food, I did lose some weight but im keeping it off by exercising and eating delicious and balanced meals (with the occasional pizza, pasta or hamburger) so it is not all bleak and horrible. And people who need this drug for their health should definitely use it, with doctor’s guidance.
