At least he wasn’t moralizing his food choice he was just showing what breakfast he enjoyed when he was losing weight 💯

  • @patty4393 says:

I eat a bowl of oatmeal every morning. Eating a bowl of soggy rice cakes sounds disgusting.

  • @ayca2700 says:

Girl are you even going to address the “gut issues” video that you posted a few days ago? You were preaching about posting no body checks, but now it is you showing your -rather skinny- body? I have been following you for a while, and i don’t know if you have any health realted issues right now. Still, you chose to post your body claiming you fixed some digestive problems? While looking extremely underweight? You bash other creators for a 1 second of them showing their body but do the exact same thing?

  • @Emily-ie5zb says:

I don’t think he was at all claiming oatmeal is a bad thing. He was just sharing a recipe he likes…

    • @Betti1962 says:

He said this is healthier than oats which is untrue

    • @Emily-ie5zb says:

@@Betti1962 Again, he still wasn’t claiming oatmeal is bad. I follow this guy and he makes tons of overnight oats with real oats. I think he meant instead of more healthy he meant more “low calorie” than his regular recipes. I like Abby usually but this video is definitely reaching.

  • @instantsiv says:

It said healthier, weight loss. So I think it’s talking about it being lower calorie. Not that oatmeal is bad. Just that rice thing is healthier, for weight loss, because it’s lower calorie.

    • @Lav3nd3r0h says:

Lower calorie absolutely does not mean healthier, that is a diet culture mindset not based on real science.

    • @instantsiv says:

@ I didn’t say that. I said it’s healthier for weight loss. There’s a nuanced understanding in that statement.

    • @Teddy-jf5xg says:

    • @Hyperlophus says:

As someone trying to lose weight, that small difference in calories wouldn’t be great enough for me to skip out on the added fiber and protein of the oats. The rice cakes substitute would likely lead to me being hungrier sooner and would mean I’d need to fill up on a larger snack of something (probably vegetables)t fill my stomach in between meals.

    • @instantsiv says:

@@Hyperlophus The idea is to eat the same amount of calories. Because the rice cake is lower calorie density you get to eat more for the same calories.

If you’re doing the calorie deficit correctly, in my experience, you’ll be hungry eating rice cakes or Oates. Playing around with foods in a diet only goes so far. It’s the mentality or will power or whatever you want to call it to carry you thru it that matters at the end of the day.

  • @shernadez8065 says:

I feel like everyone thinks everyone loves oatmeal. Nope.

  • @TransformInProgress says:

THANKS for your video!👍Much appreciated ❤❤❤

  • @ms.diva0079 says:

I am allergic to oats and I used to love oatmeal cookies. Anyway, for those who can eat oatmeal; please enjoy!

  • @alainaatk.6210 says:

This meal is mostly air 😅

  • @CGI_Andy says:

I see him saying “healthier” as moralizing food.

  • @Teddy-jf5xg says:

You should watch Whitney Holcomb trashing you in her video a few months back!😂

  • @laratotheworld says:

Hey Abby. I’m Brazilian. here we eat rice everyday, twice a day. It’s a cultural thing. How would the arsenic impact us???

    • @Beeperoni says:

      It won’t she’s fear mongering.

    • @eumilacerda says:

Não impacta miga, a gente tem a Anvisa, que regulamenta as plantações de arroz, e, com isso, pede testes sempre. O arroz daqui tem quantidades dentro do limite, mesmo comendo por 70 anos, não chega nesse limite. Fica tranquila 😊

    • @Beannin says:

It depends on where the rice is from geographically (some areas of the world have a higher concentration of arsenic and heavy metals in their soil than others) and how thoroughly the product is regulated and tested for these unwanted elements 😊
