Why I Changed My Mind on Water Fluoridation (webinar recording)
A medical consensus of public health authorities around the world has considered water fluoridation at appropriate levels as a safe and effective means to prevent cavities on a community-wide scale. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention deemed the fluoridation of drinking water as one of the top ten public health achievements of the 20th century. There is little question that supplemental fluoride strengthens teeth and reduces decay, but at what cost?
In the last few years, there have been growing concerns about the adverse effects of fluoride on brain development. Given the National Toxicology Program’s draft conclusion that fluoride should now be presumed to be a cognitive neurodevelopmental hazard, a dispassionate and tempered discussion of fluoride’s potential neurotoxicity is warranted.
Ironically, it was the anti-fluoridationists who were accused of their “anti-scientific” attitudes, but now it’s the pro-fluoridationists who may be ignoring evidence that doesn’t conform to their beliefs.

I’m from Germany – I eat healthy … I have bad teeth.
Most Americans eat unhealthy – but have beautiful and healthy teeth.
Could it be the fluoride in the water? I believe YES!
Mexico doesn’t add fluoride to its water supply, yet people here generally have healthy teeth. Doesn’t that raise questions about whether fluoridation is really necessary?
Americans have good teeth because they spend money in dentistry. They have their teeth replaced, capped, veneered, polished, you name it.
Of course is all related to affluence and living in or near cities; if you go to more rural areas, when they smile it ain’t pretty.
@firstnamelastname9631 in more rural areas they tend to use well water which isn’t fluoridated. (Speaking from experience) But I do agree that fluoride is unnecessary and poisonous, and I personally take steps to avoid it. I had great teeth until I moved into the City in my twenties. I don’t think fluoride necessarily made my teeth bad but it wasn’t doing them any favors that I could tell. They were better when I was on well water.
You Germans eat lots of meats and chocolate, that’s why bad teeth
Give people fluoridated toothpaste. Putting drugs in the water to supposedly manage teeth issues for some… What’s next, ssris, lipitor, etc.? It doesn’t matter if fluoride is correlated with better teeth. The issue is it should not be in the water. The contract for floride makes someone a ton of money. The claim floride in community water is for public health is pure gaslighting.
Money! The real answer
Nope, any benefits are outweighed by the risk. I don’t use fluoeinated water or toothpaste, its toxic.
Toothpaste gets spit out. Just rinse after. Trace amounts of fluoride are found naturally in the plants we eat so we’re all consuming some regardless.
Ten years ago, I trid “natural” toothpaste without fluoride. I got bad toothaches in a week. Switched back to fluoride, no problems since then.
@@hexicdragon3094 you do know you take a bath in flouridated water and still drink it throughout the day right
thank you so much for this useful information!
this is a brilliant webinar. thank you
i wonder if there have been studies on fluroide toothpaste and brain health
Impact on IQ is the most important variable by far. Incredible how long this has been hidden.
There’s some good articles from last year that exame the problems and limitations with the NTP report. The only concerns raised by the report apply when the level of fluoride in water is more than double the level used for water fluoridation.
Titanium dioxide can be absorbed in the mouth, though, right?
⚘️❤️🙏
What worries me is that a lot of the people who used to be against fluoridation before this, were because of unscientific stupid reasons. Now, they will think they were right because they were smart, instead of by pure chance ; and likely come to actually erroneous conclusions in other domains.
@exotic-gem well in that case we also have to show modesty towards those who have different opinions because regardless of their method, they proved to guide them to a good answer
It’s over 🙁
How can you possibly say this, when it’s clear that y’all were simply ignoring the evidence and assumed because skeptics weren’t wearing fancy suits they must be wrong? Why doesn’t that make you question your entire worldview and other assumptions you’ve long held and never really looked into?
But does fluoride kill some of the beneficial bacteria that supports the creation of nitric oxide which supports the function of the endothelium?

U really sugessting they’re gonna put ssri in water?!?! That is crazy conspiratorial thinking. The point was ppls teeth were rotting out of their mouth and not having teeth has a huge impact on your health. Now we know the negatives so we can just remove fluoride but ensure we are getting some fluoride touching our teeth through toothpaste or mouthwash.
True scientists love knowledge. If it’s been proven wrong, this is just more knowledge. LOVE this Dr. He’s easy, and just overall good!
Thank you!
What is the take-away please?! I couldn’t listen to all this!!
Tea naturally contains fluoride.
Around 16-17 years ago my dentist told me fluoridated toothpaste turns teeth grey. I stopped using it and my teeth are still fine and way whiter than many people I know.
When’s RFK jr going to meet with Dr Greger? lol
Great video – I’m one of those green tea instead of water people so would love to see a follow-up video devoted to that.
What exactly do you do with green tea? colonics?
